Reviews on StartDrugRehab.com come from people who have experienced a treatment program, as a patient or as a family member, friend or referring professional. These guidelines explain what we publish, what we remove and why.
What we publish
- Honest accounts of your own experience with a specific facility, positive, negative or mixed.
- We do not edit reviews, and we never publish, hide or order reviews based on their star rating.
- Facilities cannot pay to remove, change or reorder reviews. Claiming or featuring a listing has no effect on reviews.
- We do not offer payment, discounts or other rewards for reviews.
What we don’t publish
- Reviews by a facility’s owners, staff or their families, or by competitors.
- Fake reviews, spam, or reviews written for pay or in exchange for something.
- Full names of staff or other patients, and anyone else’s health or treatment information.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats or sexually explicit content.
- Advertising, links or phone numbers.
- Content that isn’t about the facility, or duplicates of a review you already posted.
How moderation works
Our team checks every review before it appears, usually within 2 business days. If a review breaks these guidelines, we reject it rather than edit it. Verified owners of claimed listings can post one public response to each review. Responses are checked against the same guidelines and can’t change or remove the review.
Privacy
You can post with your first name or initials. If you give us your email, we use it only to contact you about your review, and we never show it. Think about what you share: a public review is visible to anyone.
How reviews are used
Star ratings from published reviews are shown on the facility’s listing and count toward the patient ratings part of the StartDrugRehab Score. Reviews are personal opinions, not medical advice. Always confirm details directly with a program before admission.
